The Allegheny-Clarion Valley Jr.-Sr. Student Council and A-C Valley Girls Volleyball Team joined forces throughout October to raise both awareness and funds for local breast cancer initiatives. Their month-long campaign featured a range of fundraising activities, including t-shirt sales, baked goods, memorial ribbons, and direct donations from students, staff, and the wider school community.
Their efforts raised over $600 which was donated to the Northwest Hospital Foundation to benefit patients at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Northwest. The funds were used to help offset transportation costs by providing gas cards to patients as well as to support the upcoming 2026 Cancer Survivor Picnic, an annual event honoring those affected by cancer locally.
