Mission Statement

Our mission is to secure and allocate resources for funding projects exclusively in support of UPMC Northwest, thereby helping area residents find hope, healing, and access to high-quality healthcare.

Our philanthropic philosophy is to thoughtfully enhance the healthcare of our community by making financial resources available to UPMC Northwest in its mission to deliver high-quality services to the residents of the region.

Our History

1902 Oil City Hospital Endowment Fund is established with a gift of $25,000 from Henry H. Rogers of Standard Oil fame 2001 Hospital merges with UPMC and Northwest Medical Center Foundation is renamed UPMC Northwest Foundation 1983 Oil City Health Center Foundation is incorporated 1982 Franklin Hospital Foundation is incorporated and presented with gift of $10,000 from Pennbank Corporation (now PNC Bank) Oil City Health Center Foundation and Franklin Hospital Foundation merge to become Northwest Medical Center Foundation 1992 2015 UPMC Northwest Foundation changes its name to Northwest Hospital Foundation
