Stephen C. and Marie F. Cenedella Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship was established to offset the cost of education intended to advance the scholarship recipient’s skills or qualifications as a member of the UPMC Northwest nursing staff. Recipients will exemplify excellence in clinical practice, professional development and should be both self-directed and independent in the practice of his/her profession.
UPMC Northwest Medical Staff Scholarship
The UPMC Northwest medical staff recognizes both the need for more clinical staff and the struggle nonclinical employees face to finance clinical education. This scholarship is awarded to hospital employees who are working toward a degree or certificate related to providing direct patient care.
Dr. Debra A. Flaherty & James P. Flaherty, II Scholarship for Nursing Excellence
This scholarship is awarded to one or more members of the UPMC Northwest nursing staff who are pursuing a higher education degree or professional certification in nursing. Primary preference will be given to applicants aspiring to work in, or currently employed in, emergency care settings, followed by preference to those in intensive care.
