On Wednesday, December 3, the Northwest Hospital Foundation hosted its third annual Light Up Night Kick-Off at UPMC Northwest, once again welcoming local high school choirs to the hospital to provide holiday entertainment for patients, visitors, and staff.
With assistance from Barrow-Civic Theatre Director Zachary Covington, student choirs from Rocky Grove, Cranberry, Oil City, and Franklin spread holiday cheer throughout the hospital by performing carols in the main lobby, Cancer Center, cafeteria, and inpatient units.
This annual event celebrates the lighting of the Doves of Peace and Cardinals of Caring tree in the main lobby. The tree is decorated with ornaments sponsored by community members and organizations in honor or memory of loved ones, offering a meaningful tribute during the season of giving.
