Hopping for Hope Shows Support for Local Cancer Patients

Seven Mountains Media and local businesses showed their support for patients fighting cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Hopping for Hope campaign, which ran throughout October on Seven Mountains Media radio stations FROGGY, ROCKY, WUZZ, and POP!, promoted breast cancer awareness and raised funds to help patients of the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Northwest.

Thanks to sponsoring businesses, patients fighting cancer at UPMC Northwest received food and gas gift cards. These businesses included Oil City Warehouse Mall, Anderson Furniture, Scrappy Joe’s Second Hand, and Cliffords Carpets.

“Community support means everything to patients battling cancer,” said Theresa Edder, Executive Director of the Northwest Hospital Foundation. “Hopping for Hope shows them they are not alone and that their friends and neighbors are behind them, cheering them on.”
