UPMC Northwest School of Radiology Pumpkin Auction Benefits Local Patients

The UPMC Northwest School of Radiology is raising funds to meet local patient hardship needs with an online pumpkin auction. Between now and 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, bid to purchase a pumpkin painted and decorated by the radiology students.

The pumpkins are on display in the window of the Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce. Hidden beneath each pumpkin is a gift card donated by a local business. The highest bidder will receive the pumpkin and a gift card ranging in value from $10-$100.

Gift card sponsors include New Directions Community Credit Union, Top Tier Federal Credit Union, Woods & River Coffee, The Olive Vault, Something Clever, TrAils to Ales Brewery, Core Goods, Bella Cucina, The Log Cabin Restaurant, and Cork n Screw Wines.

This is the second year the UPMC Northwest School of Radiology has held a Pumpkins for Patients fundraiser benefitting the Patient Hardship Fund. The Northwest Radiologic Technology Program, established over 55 years ago, is dedicated to preparing and educating radiographers for rewarding careers. The program offers a comprehensive, 23-month certificate course accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
